How it works
Two light readings. One VLT number.
The app compares light through the glass with light in the open. Keep the phone still, sensor toward the light — usually along the top edge of the screen.

Window down
Lower the window, keep the phone in the same place, and fix a second value. Same distance, same aim — that pairing is what turns two lux readings into VLT.

Read, save, or share
You get light transparency, tint level, and an accuracy band. Save it on the phone with a name such as “BMW — front left”, or share a branded card.

See how much light gets through, plus a tint percentage, on a 10–100% scale matched to the result graphic.
Accuracy range
Each reading shows High, Medium, or Low confidence and a percentage band, so a shaky sample is obvious.
Low-light warning
If ambient light is too weak for a usable estimate, the app tells you to face a brighter source and try again.
Named history
Save readings locally with a title and window chips (front, rear, windshield). Review, share, or delete them later. Nothing is uploaded to Highapps.
Share cards
Export a branded result image and a Play Store link through the Android share sheet — WhatsApp, mail, or wherever you send it.
Works offline for the meter
The sensor math runs on the phone. You need a working ambient light sensor; internet is used for ads, crash reports, and this policy page.
Be straight about it
An estimate. Not a certified tint meter.
Phone light sensors vary by device and placement. Lighting, angle, and how still you hold the phone all move the number. That honesty is the point — so you do not treat a pocket tool like a roadside instrument.
Do not use Tint Meter for legal, regulatory, law-enforcement, insurance, or professional certification. For official window-tint compliance, use a calibrated meter.

- No account No name, email, or sign-in. Open the app and measure.
- No camera, location, or contacts The meter uses the light sensor. History you type stays in the app’s private storage.
- Ads, used plainly Banners on home and result, and at most one interstitial after a reading per app process, via Google AdMob. Consent where Google requires it.
- Languages that match the product English, Russian, and Armenian — the same three the app ships with.

Privacy policy
